The saga of men’s wear designer brand “Wills Design” is woven around Mens Wear fashion icon – Namal Balachandra holding onto an envious position of an unbroken professional record of 25 years in the menswear fashion industry.He always had a passion to see well-groomed men dressed in smart attire and it was this that drove him to open a shop in the backyard of his house to stitch trousers employing a few trained youth.Word of mouth spread quickly about a tailor shop delivering trousers with a perfect fit and before the due date. Orders started pouring in and “Namal” had to move away soon from his home to bigger environs.Men’s Look gent’s trousers an instant hit storming “guy’s” wardrobes was Namal’s maiden brand. Not confining himself to gent’s trousers alone he captured a lucrative market for staff uniforms in leading five star hotels in Sri Lanka and Maldives.The story of Wills Designs begins in 2009 at Mount Lavinia at first confined only to tailoring clothes. But it wasn’t long until “wills designs” grew into something much, much more. Today the company is best described as Guy’s Only Clothier while they still market their original shirts and trousers whilst carrying a huge range of suits and suiting’s all year round.
